Privacy Policy

Setvélo (“Setvélo,” “we,” “us”) is a booking marketplace for live entertainment operated by UMGAR LLC, a New York limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to setvelo.com and the Setvélo app, which are intended for users in the United States.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time verification code, and the account type you choose (artist, business, or event host).
• Profile content you provide. For artists: your display name, photo, location, act type, genres, instruments, pricing, repertoire, links, and anything else you add to your public profile. For businesses and hosts: your name, business name, and contact details. Public profiles are visible to other signed-in users — that is what makes the marketplace work.
• Bookings and messages. Gigs you post or apply to, price negotiations, booking agreements, reviews, and messages you exchange with the other side of a booking. Messages are visible only to the participants of that conversation.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe shares with us only what we need to run the booking (such as payment status and payout accounts).
• Technical data. Standard log and device data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated by using any web service, used for security and to keep the service running.

How we use it

• To operate the marketplace: sign-in, profiles, discovery, bookings, and messaging.
• To process bookings and payments through Stripe.
• To send transactional email, like verification codes and booking updates.
• To keep the platform safe: preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• To improve the product, using aggregate usage patterns rather than reading your content.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or run third-party advertising.

Cookies and local storage

Setvélo uses your browser’s local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to make the service work. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that run the platform — hosting and database (Cloudflare), transactional email (Resend), and payment processing (Stripe) — and only what each needs to do its job. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform. If UMGAR LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any change in who controls your information.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account and associated personal information, contact us at the address below; some records (for example, records of completed transactions) may be retained where the law requires it. Your information is processed and stored in the United States.

Security

Verification codes are stored only in hashed form, sessions are cryptographically signed, and access to your private data is scoped to your account. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we design for least access.

Your privacy rights

You can access or update most of your information in your account. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@setvelo.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We verify requests by reference to your account email.

Age

Setvélo is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and if we learn we have, we will delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the date above, and for significant changes we will notify you by email or in the app.
